1.0 degree Ski Snowboard Base Bevel Angle Guide Tool, BEAST By: RaceWax BEAST Ski Base Bevel Angle Tool:
1.0 degrees.

Features a "tongue" under the file or stone making it easy to grasp both the bevel tool and the file or stone.
Use with files or stones at least 4" in length.
Angled side arms for efficient cutting angle with ergonomic finger rest on side allowing a comfortable grip.
Stainless elevation bar tilts file or stone at desired angle for easy set-up and maintenance of base edges.
To select base bevels:
0.5 degrees - Primarily for SL skis or advanced recreational skis for icy conditions.
0.75 degrees - Upper level GS or advanced recreational. Also used to
mellow" the bite at tip and tail extremities of 0.5 bevels.
1.0 degrees - Fairly universal recreational, low-mid level racing and most speed ski bevels.
1.5 degrees - Used to mellow the bite in tip and tail.
2.0 degrees - Primarily used by the snowboard crowd and also park skis where they don't want a very sensitive edge.
The bevel angle is determined by the thickness of the stainless elevation bar and distance of the elevation bar from the ski edge. The elevation bar will lie flat on the base the set distance from the ski edge with downward pressure on the file or stone even if the legs on the polycarbonate frame don't contact the edge equally on the vertical plane. The polycarbonate legs only have to contact equally on the horizontal plane to keep the distance correct.
Do not sharpen the base edge after initial bevel set-up as you will take away more edge material and create an over beveled base edge. Once your initial set-up is done the base edges should only be lightly polished to remove nicks and burrs.

All items ship by weight, so while it may be possible to combine and ship small items for free, larger items will ship at a reduced cost, but not free.

This item ships free to all of the 50 USA states! Our primary domestic shipping method is USPS First Class for items under one pound and USPS Priority for heavier items. Ski tuning tables and similar large items as well as pressurized flammable liquid products will ship UPS Ground as legally required.

Shipping costs may be reduced when combining multiple items; price reduction is based on product weight, ask first with a specific list of items. Shipping costs cannot be reduced after the items have been shipped.
NOTE! First Class shipping can take 1-2 WEEKS, and up to 4 WEEKS; if you need it sooner ask for a quote on PRIORITY (1-2 WEEKS) or EXPRESS (1 WEEK) before you buy.
FOREIGN CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ: Customs documents will display the actual purchase amount as required by law. Requests to mark shipments as gifts will not be honored without warning. Liquid products cannot be shipped to foreign countries. Also, due to problems with the Italian and Russian post we no longer ship there, and reserve the option to cancel/refund orders to these countries and any others that present delivery issue without notice at our discretion.
