Item:  Antique Snow Sled
This Sled came directly from Original Owners who are a German Born couple in North N.J..  I have been buying up large portions of their estate before they leave their home and move elsewhere.  
Description:  For Sale is an Antique Wooden Snow Sled originally Made by Sears
Roebuck.  In response to the remarkable success of the first steerable mass produced sled--the famous "Flexible Flyer"--in the early twenties, Sears introduced the"Flying Arrow".  It's famous slogan was "Watch it fly around the corner, these sleds actually steer, runners are highly tempered spring steel, they carve up abruptly in front which leaves more of the long runner on the ground, making it easier to steer and giving a better coasting surface."  The original price--$2.87.   This example offered for sale probably dates to the thirties, and measures 43" long x 23"W (Steering Handle Tip To Tip) and weighs 9lbs.  I am sure my photos will best further describe this item. 
Condition:   On a scale of 1 - 10 (Ten being New in Package Only), I can confidently grade this item's condition to be asolid 7 at least.   Overall and Especially for being Nearly 100 Years Old, this Very Collectible Piece of Americana, is inVery Good Original Condition.  First, everything is No Less than 95% Immaculate.  All paint is totally original although it is lacking some paint sporadically and the original varnish has faded away in spots.  The wood is NOT rotted at all and is quite strong still.  The steering handle does still work when maneuvered but could use some lube.  No cracked runners neither and the"Flying Arrow" Logo is at least 80% Pristine.  None of the metal runners have any dents/dings.  The pull rope even seems original based on how old it is.  Truly, only natural visual aging is what can be held against this sled.  My photos are an accurate depiction of this item'sTRUE Condition.  
All efforts will be taken to reduce shipping rate as long as it does not take away from the integrity of the packing job so it arrives safely.  Buyer will be refunded any accidental shipping overcharge of $1 or more.  Proof of cost given.

Shipping is based SOLELY on Dimensions of Packed Item & Buyer's Zip Code.  I
am totally against profiting on shipping. 
Shipping:  90% of all items will be shipped in 36hrs or less (usually the same/next day) unless the item is paid for on a Saturday.  The Post Office is closed on Sunday so shipping will begin again on Monday.  No international shipping unless done throughEbay's Global Shipping Program.

TERMS:   The buyer will please contact me within 3 days either with payment or notification as to when payment will be sent.  Payment must be received within 5 days after the auction ends.  Insurance will be included on breakable or valuable items ($40 or higher), or if requested prior to payment.   I highly suggest you chooseexpedited shipping on fragile items.  The shorter amount of time it is in the Postal System, the better chance it will arrive safely.  I pack each item as if it is the "Holy Grail" but accidents do happen from time to time.  By purchasing this item, you are agreeing to take photos of the item and the box if it arrives damaged.  I need those photos for Postal Insurance Claims.  The Tracking # will be added to the listing as soon as I return home from shipping the item.
